How the points work
The same scoring as Fitzroy Doncaster Cricket Club's Team of the Week. Every run, wicket and catch your picks make in a counting fixture lands on your side.
What a performance is worth
| Every run | +1 |
| Every wicket | +20 |
| Every catch | +10 |
| Every run out | +10 |
| Every stumping | +10 |
| Fifty | +10 bonus |
| Hundred | +25 bonus |
| Five wickets | +25 bonus |
| Every maiden | +2 |
| Not out | +5 bonus |
| Out for none | -3 |
A hundred earns the fifty bonus as well. Your captain scores 2×.
The rules in short
- Your side
- 11 within $1.2m: 6 batters, 1 keeper, 4 bowlers. Stuck? Auto pick builds one that fits.
- Prices
- From last season's points. A newcomer costs $70k.
- Prices move
- A big round lifts a player, a quiet one costs them. You keep the price you paid.
- Winning it
- The ladder decides the top 8, then 4 weeks of finals: the AFL final eight — qualifying finals 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd (the losers get a second chance), elimination finals 5th v 8th and 6th v 7th, then semis, preliminary finals and the grand final. More points in the round goes through; a tie or a washed-out final goes to the higher-placed side.
- Your 12th
- If one of your XI doesn't get a game, the 12th's points count instead. Swapping them in is free.
- Transfers
- Up to 2 between rounds.
- Locking
- Sides lock 2 hours before a game and stay locked until it's over. A round scores once its scorecards are in.
